This courses covers essential knowledge and clinical expertise about tooth bio-mechanics and its impact on material & clinical protocol selection. Techniques for direct, semidirect and indirect techniques using either composite or ceramics will be presented and practised, with a special focus on the CTS (Cracked-Tooth-Syndrom) and non-vital teeth.

  • Tooth colored restorations & bio-mechanics: general indications & considerations
  • Material choice: conventional composites, bulk-filling products, ceramics, etc...
  • Direct restorations (with update on bulk & simplified filling techniques)
  • Tooth preparation for semi- and Indirect techniques
  • Cervical margin relocation & Cavity Design Optimization
  • Adhesive and luting procedures for the tooth and restorations
  • The Cracked Tooth Syndrome & Non-Vital tooth configurations

    Material to bring along with you

    The education center is fully equipped with microscopes and provides hand instruments, handpieces, products & models needed for the entire course. However, we do recommend to bring along your magnification lenses, if you are used to work with them. We can lend a few Zeiss lenses for those who would like to test them; but we can unfortunately not provide one to each participant for the whole duration of the program.

    Course package

    Each program comes with:

    • two daily coffee breaks
    • daily lunch, served at a restaurant withing walking distance from the course
    • a group dinner, traditionally in a restaurant located in the old town of Geneva, on the last day of the course
    • Participants will also receive a course syllabus containing references to all products used during hands-on activities, along with reprinted articles related to the course topics, if applicable.
